What customers say?

“ Been coming here for many years, very excellent fish and chips, with new owner too chips might be even better. Fish always cooked to order so super fresh. Great quality every time ”

“ Still great - even though appears to have changed hands since last visit. Only got chips- cooked in vegetable oil so great for all diets but (arguably) not as tasty as animal fat. That being said... all happy faces and no complaints from our family order! Most items cooked to order so may have to wait a few mins but all the better for it. ”

- Pete Starr -

“ Amazing gluten free fish and chips freshly prepared and amazing service ”

- George -

“ I visited this shop during my visit from New Zealand. The young lady serving was wonderful and chatty and gave me an insight into what people call fish and chips ... wunce...I am told is term elsewhere..I had some scraps with mine. Onto the food itself the fish and chips were fantastic. The batter was perfect and nothing was too greasy. Lovely fat chips..thanks for a great feed in Leeds.. ”

- Andrew Bebb -

“ The chips were cooked just right, and they were right size to eat. Liked the boxes they were in too, classy. Used to live 4 streets up from this Chippy years ago, different chippy then but a look says had our Thursday tea from there. Good quality take away food, will go there again. ”

- Ann Illingworth (Annie) -

“ Found this little shop by chance as we were exploring the neighbourhood where Leodis Residence is. A generous, fresh and crispy piece of haddock. Tasty chips. A clean, small place with 3 small tables indoor and a car park for customers in front of shop. Overall, good & satisfying fish & chips but on the oily side for us. ”

- Ori Joy -

“ We go here all the time and it is absolutely brilliant! they cook in vegetable oil and wrap the food in brown paper bags so it doesn't sweat like it does in a plastic bag. The food tastes wonderful, and the man and woman that own/ work there are lovely, really friendly and kind. The portions are also a good size and the food isn't badly priced for what you get. 5/5!! ”

- Meeka Tomey-Alleyne -

“ A friendly couple seem to own this place. Very good chip-shop interior. Prices are ok, with normal sized portion of fish and chips coming in at about £6. There is a small dining area, and it's not overlit. If you need sauces like BBQ or mayo, there are plenty of large bottles on the counter, and you can freely help yourself, which is a good touch. Where this place really shines is the quality of the fish - thickly battered and flavourful. The chips are just a tad soggy, which is why this review gets 4 stars, not 5. ”
